1. Service Description

Fairtide provides a fair pricing API that adjusts prices based on purchasing power parity (PPP) and self-reported income. The service includes an API and a web dashboard for managing realms.

2. Account Requirements

You must sign in with a Google account to use the dashboard. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your API keys. You must not share your API keys publicly.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the API for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to circumvent rate limits or usage quotas
Reverse-engineer the pricing algorithm to manipulate results
Submit false income data to exploit pricing differentials

4. API Usage Limits

Free tier realms are limited to 1,000 API requests per calendar month. Exceeding this limit will result in HTTP 429 responses until the next month. We reserve the right to modify limits with 30 days notice.

5. Data and Privacy

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using Fairtide, you consent to the data practices described therein.

6. Intellectual Property

The Fairtide API, dashboard, and pricing algorithm are the intellectual property of Fairtide. The source code is licensed under AGPL-3.0.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy of pricing calculations, or fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Limitation of Liability

Fairtide shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the service.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
