1. Who We Are

Fairtide ("we", "us") provides a fair pricing API at api.fairti.de. This policy explains how we handle your personal data.

2. Data We Collect

Account data: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google OAuth.
Usage data: API request counts per realm per month, transaction history (base price, fair price, delta), and realm metadata (name, country).
Session data: We use a session cookie (better-auth.session_token) to keep you logged in. This is a strictly necessary cookie and does not track you across sites.

3. How We Use Your Data

To provide and operate the Fairtide service
To authenticate you via Google OAuth
To track API usage against your plan limits
To display your realms and transactions in the dashboard

4. Third Parties

We share data only with:

Google: We use Google OAuth for authentication. Google's privacy policy applies to the sign-in process. We receive only your name, email, and profile picture.
Hetzner: Our server is hosted on Hetzner Cloud (Germany). Hetzner processes data as a sub-processor under their DPA.

We do not sell your data or use third-party analytics or advertising.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Transaction history is kept for the lifetime of the associated realm. When you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed immediately.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:

Access: Export all your data as JSON from the dashboard.
Portability: Download your data in a machine-readable format (JSON).
Erasure: Delete your account and all associated data from the dashboard.
Rectification: Update your profile information through Google (we sync on login).

7. Data Security

All connections use HTTPS/TLS. API keys are stored as hashed values. The database is stored on encrypted storage in a German data center.
